Both Lives Matter is planning a peaceful gathering on 13th October in Belfast. We invite you to Stand With Us at our cross-community, inter-generational peaceful gathering to oppose Westminster’s extreme abortion regime which is set to come intoeffect here on 22nd October.
The event will be similar in tone to the event that took place at Stormont on 6th September.
It will be peaceful, with a 6 minute silence to represent the 6 counties which will be impacted by Westminster’s extreme abortion regime. There will be 2 very short (2 minute) speeches – to explain why we are gathered peacefully and to encourage people to have conversations about supporting women and unborn children with their friends, family and community.
It will be very much in the usual Both Lives Matter style – the only banner will be a Both Lives Matter banner, there will be no flags, other banners or political paraphernalia. Whilst political reps may in attendance they will not be speaking publicly. The aim is very much to give the space to the people to peacefully show their disappointment at the situation we find ourselves in.
Date: Sunday 13th October 2019 Time: 3:30pm
Location: FALLS PARK, Falls Road, Belfast
