A big thank you to the production team for their time and energy and we look forward to meeting them again in August!
Bangor Parish WMOF Team were very active within the parish from September 2017 to May 2018 and joined with the local Bangor Parish Family of Schools to bring many initiatives and sacramental moments to the children and parishioners in the parish. Facilitating moments throughout the months of September through to May. Some moments: Trocaire Romero Award, Weekly Easter Reflections on The Joy of the Love, Easter Holy Water, Stations of the Cross, a three week workshop on Love is…, The Joy of Love, Catholic Schools Week, Family Prayers, Sacramental Moments, to name but a few! The Indian & Polish Communities got involved too, looking after the flowers beside the statues of Mary & the Sacred Heart of Jesus in St Comgall’s Church, Brunswick Rd for May & June.
Also the Pastoral Community Committee of Ards & North Down under the guidance of Fr Martin O’Hagan have organised an ‘Education Bus’ on Thursday 23rd August to the RDS Congress in Dublin: Bringing teachers, students, children’s liturgy leaders, parish priests and chaplains. Participants are a representation of the local primary schools, post-primary schools in the six parishes of our pastoral community. This initative will introduce to all those attending the positive experience of celebrating a lived faith with all those families throughout the world who are attending. Learning and sharing together will give our pastoral community a unique experience of international family life during this 9th World Meeting of Families in Ireland which we can share back in to our communities. It is a moment in our history which will live with us in to the future care of our pastoral communities. The Pastoral Community Committee is also responsible for organising five buses to the Final Mass in Phoenix Park.
Information about the pick up times of the buses to follow in next weekend’s bulletin notice. Sunday 5th August 2018
