The following is the address given by Dr Mauro Steffininni, President of the Friends of St Columbanus on the occasion of his being awarded an honorary doctorate from St Patrick’s College Maynooth to mark the 1400th Anniversary of the death of St Columbanus. There were two other honorary graduates Bishop Gianni Ambrogio of Piacenza-Bobbio and the superior General of the Columbans on 30 November 2015.
