Fr Daniel Whyte’s Diamond Jubilee of his Ordination
CONGRATULATIONS FATHER DANNY!!!
Warmest congratulations to Father Danny Whyte on the Diamond Jubilee of his Ordination on Friday 18th June. This was preceded on Thursday by an evening Mass for family, friends, past parishioners and priests with whom he served and will be followed by a Mass on Monday evening at 7pm presided by Bishop Treanor for the parishioners of Bangor.
Covid Restrictions mean that all seats have had to be reserved and sincere thanks to Jacinta Crockford for the hidden but invaluable administrative backup. Grateful thanks are offered to Thomas McMullan and his team of helpers who provided refreshments and kept everyone safe in line with Covid Regulations. The McClean Family and fellow musicians took responsibility for the wonderful music at the Masses and entertainment. The Indian Community is to be thanked and applauded for their stunning decoration of the stage in the Parish Centre.
The number of cards and generous gifts offered to Father Danny speak volumes of the high regard in which he is held. We renew our congratulations and know that the greatest joy he and we could have in response to this jubilee celebration would be to have vocations to the priesthood, deaconate and religious life from this parish.
Ad multos annos a athair Daniél.
